Santiago Lopez passes Commercial Check Ride

Congratulations to Club Member, Santiago Lopez for passing his Commercial Glider Check-Ride on November 18, 2012.

The Commercial Glider Check-Ride was performed by Club Member and FAA Examiner, Jim Morzillo.

Felix Noel, Junior Member Solo's

Congratulations to Junior Member, Felix Drescher for his Solo on June 10, 2012. Felix has been a member in the club since since 2011.

Standard Cirrus returns to club fleet

Congratulations to Doug Lawrence on the purchase of his Standard Cirrus 15M Sailplane.

This ship originally owned by club instructor Ed Winchester, who sold the ship to Freehold Soaring. Doug's purchase returns the ship back to the sky's above Saratoga Springs.

Bob Iuliano Earns GOLD Altitude Badge

WAVE! Again...

George & Tim Hanke climb to 16,500 in the Duo Discus and Bob Iuliano climbs to 16,000ft in his Discus CS and earns his SSA GOLD Altitude Badge.

4/6/12 - Bob Iulaino in his Discus CS and George Hanke in the Duo Discus climb to 10,500 ft in WAVE.

4/7/12 - Bob Iuliano cliimbs to 13,000 ft in WAVE.

4/8/12 - George Hanke climbs to 10,500 ft in WAVE flying Bob's Discus CS.

Steve F. & David B. - New Private Pilots

Congratulations to Steve Fisher and David Brunone of Saratoga Springs for completing their Glider Pilot Check Rides.

 

Assisted by Chief Flight Instructor, Tom MacJarrett, Chris "Stewey" Ryan (Wing Runner), David and Steve completed their Oral and Practical exams on September 2nd, 2011.
